About us

Hatmaxxing began as a simple Facebook page documenting the strange and fascinating hats found hidden in the bustling markets of Beni-Mellal, Morocco. While exploring the city, I became completely obsessed with these bizarre caps bearing corrupted versions of famous logos, disjointed platitudes, or absolute nonsense text proudly embroidered across the front. I sought them out at every market stall like a thrifter hunting for a hidden gem, though the gems I desired weren't traditionally beautiful—they were delightfully strange and beautifully rife with mistakes. Still, there was an undeniable, accidental brilliance to the hats I found, capturing something profound and effortlessly hilarious without even trying.
